Music releases

For the first time since ages, I went into hybrid workflow:

  • Bass rhythm by taping violin bow on single string Diddley Bow
  • Rubbing the same cello way
  • Additional electric bass line
  • Percussions from noise box
  • Spooky voices by rubbing a plastic gong mallet on noise box wood
  • One percussion from MI Elements module
  • Closed HH from Quad Drum and Euclidean Circles
  • One final pad from TAL Noisemaker free VSTi
  • Some mangled radio recording
  • And of course, electric guitar

Except closed HH, everything was played without using a sequencer.

This album is a short story collection of six unconnected ambient music episodes.
It explores atmospheres of sadness, personal memories, and concept of otherworldly escape by music creation.
With other forms of art, it’s one of the last expressions of freedom, and has to feed resistance in this burning word.

Hikikomori (Japanese: 引きこもり or ひきこもり, pronounced [çi̥kʲikomoɾʲi], lit. “pulling inward, being confined”) are reclusive adolescents or adults who withdraw from social life, often seeking extreme degrees of isolation and confinement.

Jōhatsu (Japanese: 蒸発, lit. “evaporation”) refers to the people in Japan who purposely vanish from their established lives without a trace.
